Larry George Ellingford, 80, died Thursday, Aug. 8, in Los Angeles, California. He was born Feb. 22, 1939, in Mountain View, to Reno Edward “Pete” and Esther Kidman Ellingford. He grew up on the family ranch outside Lyman. 

Graveside services and interment will be at noon on Saturday, Aug. 31, in the Lyman City Cemetery in Lyman, under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.

Larry is survived by his wife, Cathy of Eagle Rock, California; his children, Dave (Cyndy), Brian (Jennifer), Lori and Steven; his grandchildren, Kelly, Calley, Camie, Diana, Elsie, Stuart, Grant and Lauryn; two great-grandchildren Blake and Ashlyn; and his sister, Audrey Anders.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Laura; and brothers, Rex and Ted. 

After working for 38 years, Larry retired from Arrowhead Bottled Water Company in January 2007. His interest in real estate and managing his apartment building kept him busy after retirement.

As a youth, Larry was active in the Boy Scouts of America and attended the Boy Scout National Jamboree in 1953 at Irvine Ranch, California. As an adult, he spent many years as a Boy Scout leader.
