LaMae Twitchell

LaMae peacefully passed away surrounded by love, with her sweetheart by her side.

She was born to Esdras and Ethel Finlinson in Oak City, Utah, the youngest of three children. LaMae was raised by her father and two loving grandmothers after her mother died when she was only 8 years old. LaMae attended school in Oak City and Delta, Utah, before graduating from Branch Agricultural College in Cedar City, Utah. After graduation, she loved her job in the Education Administration Department at the Utah State Capitol.

LaMae met her loving husband, Wesley, at the home of her sister, Ramona, and they quickly became engaged. They were married in Delta, Utah, by her father, and they were later sealed in the St. George Temple. They were blessed with five daughters and shared 63 wonderful years together.

She was a dedicated, loving wife and mother. She especially loved being a grandmother and found such happiness with each new baby.

Although she served in many LDS church callings, her favorite was transcribing patriarchal blessings.

Mom was also a very talented floral designer, working in a Bountiful floral for many years.

LaMae was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Reece; sister, Ramona; and her baby daughter Paulette. She is survived by her husband, Wes; daughters Connie (Rod), Corrie (Jeff), Patrice and Angie (Brian); 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, at the Porter Lane First Ward chapel.

Please come visit with our family from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Russon Brothers in Bountiful, Utah, or an hour before the service.
