SHERIDAN – The Evanston High School girls’ cross country team earned a fifth-place finish out of 13 teams at Saturday’s Class 4A state meet.
Evanston junior Brittany Barton led the Lady Red Devils with a 14th-place finish in 20:06.72. Fellow junior Reghan Worley finished 16th in 20:11.89.
Freshman Quetzalli Penaloza was 33rd in 21:07.20, senior Hadley Gebs was 40th in 21:18.38 and senior Graycee Kennedy rounded out the scoring with a 43rd-place finish in 21:23.96.
Senior Micah Harvey was 48th in 21:27.53 and junior Breila Fuller was 55th in 21:55.34.
