The Evanston High School girls’ basketball team moved up a spot to the No. 4-ranked team in Class 4A in the latest coaches and media poll released Thursday morning.
The Lady Red Devils received one third-place vote, seven fourth-place votes and six fifth-place votes for a total of 69 points.
Campbell County maintained its position at No. 1 after collecting 12 of the 14 first-place votes cast. The Lady Camels finished with 204 points.
Kelly Walsh received the other two first-place votes, earning a total of 150 points for the No. 2 slot. Thunder Basin (141), Evanston (69) and Cheyenne East rounded out the top-five teams.
The Lady Red Devils are 14-4 on the season and 6-1 in the 4A West Conference with three regular-season games remaining before the start of regional play March 1-3 in Jackson.
Evanston is back on the road again this week to take on Kelly Walsh (13-4, 6-0 West) today and Natrona (9-8, 3-3 West) on Saturday. The Lady Red Devils finish the regular season on Thursday against Jackson.

Lyman (16-1, 3-0 3A West-South) suffered its first loss of the season last Friday to Cody, but the Lady Eagles responded with a win against Powell (12-5, 3-0 3A West-North) the next day. Powell was ranked third last week, but moved to No. 5 this week.
The Lady Buffalos (13-4, 1-2) have won six-straight games, including wins last week against Powell and Cody.
Buffalo (14-4, 3-1 3A East-West) maintained its position to round out the top-five teams.
Both Lyman and Mountain View have three regular-season games left before regional play kicks off on March 1 in Pinedale.
The Lady Buffalos will play at Pinedale today, host Star Valley on Saturday and wrap up the regular season Feb. 22 at home with a game against Lyman. The Lady Eagles play at Star Valley today and host Pinedale on Saturday. They conclude their regular season on Thursday against Mountain View.
