The Wyoming High School Coaches and Media girls’ basketball preseason poll was released Thursday.
Lyman is the No. 2 team in Class 3A after collecting 138 points. Last season, the Lady Eagles finished fifth at state while compiling a 20-7 record.
Lyman graduated two All-Conference players from last year in Emily Jackson and Lyndee Walker, but the Lady Eagles return two-time All-State selection McKinley Bradshaw. As a sophomore last season, Bradshaw led Class 3A in scoring at 23.2 points per game. She also led the West Conference in rebounding (13.7) blocked shots (2.2) and steals (5.2).
Mountain View collected 18 points after going 18-7 and finishing fourth at the Class 3A state tournament. The Lady Buffalos graduated four seniors from that team, including All-State selection Marley Newton.
The Evanston Lady Red Devils will look to surprise some people this season after going 12-15 last year. Evanston lost only one senior from that team and have five seniors returning for the 2017-18 campaign.
