The Evanston High School girls’ basketball team celebrated its seniors last Saturday with a 58-19 dismantling of visiting Jackson, with three Lady Devils scoring in double figures.
With the win, Evanston finished the regular season with a 6-15 record (2-4 in the 4A Southwest Quadrant), with the 4A West Regional Tournament set to begin Thursday in Star Valley.
The Lady Devils honored their six seniors — Halle Brady, Brinkley Francom, Ellie Asay, Autumn Hansen, Kendall Fessler and Emily Sawyer — after the game for their hard work and dedication to the program the last four years.

The Lady Devils honored their six seniors — Halle Brady, Brinkley Francom, Ellie Asay, Autumn Hansen, Kendall Fessler and Emily Sawyer — after the game for their hard work and dedication to the program the last four years.
The Lady Devils began the game on a 20-7 run in the first quarter and never looked back, building a 34-15 lead by the break. Eleven Evanston players in total found their way onto the floor, with the Lady Devils’ defense holding Jackson to just four points in the second half, en route to the 59-19 win.
Senior post Emily Sawyer made the most of her final home game, recording a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Halle Brady finished with 10 points — including two shots from behind the arc — while Kendall Fessler also recorded a double-double, netting 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Emme Fessler added eight points, while Brinkley Francom chipped in four points. Jayce Bardsley scored three points, while Ellie Asay and Autumn Hansen finished with two points apiece.
The Lady Devils opened the 4A West Regional Tournament Thursday in Star Valley against Rock Springs.
