On Sunday, Sept. 27, the world lost an amazing and gifted lady to a courageous eight-year battle with cancer.

Jill was born to Dee and Glenys Birch of Lyman, on March 29, 1971. She married the love of her life, Mark Kenney, June 8, 1990. Together they built a life of adventure and love with their two children, Kameron and Kloie.

Jill was a one-of-a-kind, free-spirited soul, who lived life to the fullest. There wasn’t a bigger Rick Springfield fan nor adrenalin junkie than Jill. Anything Volkswagen would make her day. She had an exceptionally soft spot in her heart for animals. She loved them all!

Jill’s positive, upbeat personality made others want to be in her presence; no one was ever a stranger. She was as beautiful inside as she was on the outside, and the world was truly a better place with her in it.

Jill is survived by her husband, Mark; their children, Kameron (19) and Kloie (9) of St. George, Utah; parents, Dee and Glenys Birch; sisters, Celeste (Jim) Berg, and Lisa (Troy) Bradshaw of Lyman; aunt, Dixie Birch of Lyman; father and mother in-law, Ed and Barbara Kenney of Mesquite, Nevada; sisters-in-law, Jamie and Christine of Salt Lake City; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Those who preceded her in death are her grandparents, Keith and Leatha Maxfield and Rex and Viola Birch; and many friends who shared their cancer journey with her.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Lyman Heritage Barn at 44054 Business Loop 80 east of Lyman. Viewing is between 9 and 10:30 a.m., with the service at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, it was Jill’s wish for people to please donate to their favorite “no kill” animal shelter.
