Jaime Ballesteros

Jaime Ballesteros, age 62, was called to heaven on Thursday, May 23, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Jaime was an Evanston resident for 40 years and was known and loved by many. He was born on March 3, 1957 in Iramuco, GTO, Mexico, to professor Enrique Ballesteros and Martha Maravilla.

He married the love of his life, Maria, on Feb. 14, 1981. Together they had three daughters Primavera, Jeymye and Emily. Jaime was a family man and a man of faith who lived his life practicing the Lord’s teachings. He was a man of values and respect. He was fortunate to have formed many lasting and genuine friendships.

Jaime was employed by UTLX for many years and gained many friends who worked alongside with him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Maria Ballesteros; daughters, Primavera (Juan) Villegas, Jeymye (Sergio) Paniagua and Emily; and two grandchildren, Remmi Villegas and Baby Paniagua. Jaime’s greatest joy was being a “gampa.”

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 31, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 837 Center St., Evanston. There will be a Rosary starting at 1 pm. Burial will be at the Evanston Cemetery.
