The Lyman Lady Eagles are showing the state why they are ranked second in Class 3A. Lyman improved to 6-0 on the year after going undefeated in the Flaming Gorge Classic. The Lady Eagles claimed a 59-54 win against Rock Springs, ranked fourth in 4A, on Thursday. Lyman then defeated Cheyenne Central 54-53 after McKinley Bradshaw hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer. The Lady Eagles closed out the tournament with a 57-29 win over Rich. Bradshaw finished with 82 points in the tournament. The Lady Eagles return to action Dec. 29 when they host Wyoming Indian.

The Lyman Eagles knew coming into the season they would suffer some growing pains early on after graduating their entire starting lineup from last year’s team that took third at the Class 3A state tournament. Lyman fell to 1-6 on the season after going 0-3 at the Flaming Gorge Classic. The Eagles fell 52-31 to Rich 53-26 to Grace (Idaho) and 43-25 to Pinedale. The Eagles return to action Dec. 29 when they host Wyoming Indian.

The Rich Lady Rebels went 0-3 at the Flaming Gorge Classic, but they are still 4-5 on the year. Rich opened tournament play with a 64-30 loss to Mountain View, before falling 61-53 to Green River and 57-29 to Lyman. The Lady Rebels return to action Jan. 6 when they host North Summit.
