First, our duties here wouldn’t be complete without thanking you for making the Uinta County Herald the place you trust for local news.

We are proud the Herald stands out as the leading source of news in our region, continuing to win awards and being recognized as one of the top publications in the state in a time where journalism is often under fire. We are committed to local journalism, all local news, all the time in print and on the web.

Your support, along with that of our valuable advertisers, truly matters. It is the reason we can continue to be the voice of the region, and it allows us to evolve in a fast-changing environment.

We know a lot has changed with the Herald in the last few months, and we appreciate your patience as we also get used to a new normal.

To better serve our readers and advertisers, we have made the decision to change our publication date, effective the first week in June.

Starting with the June 7 issue, the Uinta County Herald will be moving to a Wednesday publication. This allows us to get news to you in a timelier manner, while also shifting our printing location to be more financially responsible.

With the change in printing location and publication date, you will see your Herald in your mailbox on Wednesdays beginning in June. Racks and single copies will be delivered to sites late Tuesday evening as well.

We understand the frustrations of readers only getting the Herald once a week but, keep in mind, we will be utilizing our website more often to bring you current news, as it happens.

We hope everyone will embrace these changes and help us to continually bring informative stories to area residents of Uinta County. Our staff is like a close-knit family and we understand teamwork is paramount for our success. We will continue to collaborate and share information so we can bring it to you first. Please feel free to contact our staff if you have something you’d like to share. Bringing our readers local news is what we do.

Thank you for allowing us to be your trusted community connection of accurate and reliable news.
