Henry Lee, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, Aug. 18. He was born on Feb. 17, 1942, in Spring Valley, to Zeldon and Katie Marie (Lowe) Lee.
He married the love of his life, Karen (Maxfield) Lee on, June 6, 1961, in Green River. They made their family home in Lyman, where they went on to have four children: Beverly (Jerry) Arthur, Darren (Liz) Lee, Julee (Colt) Beddoes and Deanna (Scott) Birch.
He worked at Little America and then went on to work for the Union Pacific Railroad for the next 35 years. He retired on May 31, 2002, and he was able to spend quality time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved to spend time in the great outdoors hunting, camping and taking his family fishing. He also loved spending time with his family and friends who eventually became honorary family members.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; his son, Darren; his daughters, Beverly, Julee and Deanna; his grandchildren, Jenilee (Steven) Schwartz, Tara (Richard Chase) Arthur, Katie (Greg) Smith, Rawdy (Ashlee Guymon) Snyder, Tori (Clint Taylor) Degn, Jerico Birch, Sarah Degn, Shayla (Jake) Young, Courtney Lee, Afton Lee and Everett Lee; great-grandchildren, Shyln Schwartz, Cirica Arthur, Jaedyn Snyder, Paisley Monk, Haley Smith, Calvin Smith and Gracie Young; and his brothers and sisters, Barbara, Jack, June, Shirley and Susie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zeldon and Katie Lee; eight of his brothers and sisters, Amelia, Orin, Katherine, Johnny, Veda, Edison, Zella and Beverly; and his grandson, Kegan.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, at the LDS church in Lyman. A viewing was held from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, and another viewing will be from 9-10:45 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23.
