Helene Neville is living an amazing life and she is not about to quit living. On Monday morning Neville and her friend, SheriAnne Little, left from the Wyoming/Utah border as Neville begins her 4,000-mile journey through the heartland of America.
Little will accompany Neville on her first day of running. Neville has already run 9,713 miles around the 36 perimeter states and is now working on achieving her goal of running through all of the 48 continental U.S. states.
She left Monday morning with the sound of the song “Eye of the Tiger” playing and an escort from the Evanston Police Department. Mayor Kent Williams was there to see the runners off and wish them all the best.
Neville holds four running records and is a five-time cancer survivor. Besides running, she enjoys time with her grandchildren and is an author and inspirational speaker.
You can follow Neville’s run to “inspire health, hope and unity” on Facebook. Look for One On The Run.
