Heather Robin Evans Kinder

Posted

Heather Robin Evans Kinder left her family and friends too soon on June 6. Heather was born to William Gary and Ruth Louise Evans on July 1, 1967, in American Fork, Utah. Heather spent her childhood in Lyman, where she participated in swimming, volleyball, basketball, band, drill team and cheerleading. Heather had a love for horses and spent many hours riding with her brother and sister.

Heather graduated from Lyman High School in 1985, whereafter she met and married Brad Beck, and from that union came a beautiful baby girl, Malarie Ruth. Their marriage ended later in divorce. Heather and Malarie lived in Salt Lake City, where she worked for Salt Lake Community College and then later for McDougal Funeral Home. Heather then met Kevin Kinder, and they married and had their handsome son, Kevin Jesse. Their marriage later ended in divorce.

Heather was a free spirit, making lifelong friends wherever she went. She lived life to its fullest by playing golf, learning to sail a boat, water skiing and camping. Her proudest achievements were her children, Malarie and Jesse, along with her grandson Caz. She had just learned that Jesse was going to make her a grandma again this December.

Heather was preceded in death by her father, William Gary; mother, Ruth Erickson; grandpa and grandma Bill and Ida Evans; grandma Sheila Hackford; and cousins Mark Olsen and Russell Greenwood.

Heather is survived by her daughter, Malarie Ruth (Isaac Griggs); grandson, Cazious Michael Goick; step-grandchildren Kiara and Dallin Griggs of Evanston; son Kevin Jesse Kinder of Murray, Utah; her significant other, Greg Bernard of Mountain View; sister, Jacquelyn McDowell of Smithfield, Utah; brother, William Jason Evans of Mountain View; her aunts, Sandra (Dennis) Greenwood, Beth (Ron) Rossiter and Joyce St. Clair; nieces and nephews, Todd, Meghan and Courtney McDowell, Jace and Tahlia Evans; and great-nieces and -nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston. A viewing will be held two hours prior to the service from 6-8 p.m.
