MOUNTAIN VIEW — The Mountain View High School boys’ track team has four of the 16 3A track athletes who are prequalified for the state tournament in Casper in May.
All four athletes — Harlan Benedict, Brandon Vitt, Briggin Bluemel and Mason Ozuna — qualified at the Pete Olson Memorial last weekend in Big Piney. Benedict and Vitt took first and second at the meet for pole vault, with marks of 13.7 and 12.7 feet, respectively. The third-place vaulter was a foot shorter than second.
Bluemel, a hurdler, is prequalified in the 110-meter hurdles with a mark of 41.6, and Ozuna, a runner, is prequalified in the triple jump with a mark of 41:10.50 feet.
