Evelyn Annie Buck, 85, passed away on Monday, July 6, in Evanston.

She was born on Oct. 28, 1934, in Nashwauk, Minnesota. Her parents were Lee and Anna (Swedberg) Westlund. She was the youngest of three children.

She loved to crochet, knit and cross stitch, and then later on took up landscape painting. She continued to do these hobbies until her eyesight deteriorated. She loved to write letters and emails to her fellow classmates and new e-pals she made. She recently moved to some senior apartments and loved her new neighbors, whom she visited with often.

She is survived by her four children: Tim Buck of Crystal, Minnesota; Kathy Buck of Ham Lake, Minnesota; Marilyn (Todd) Johnson of Evanston; and Grant (Becky) Buck of Grantsburg, Wisconsin. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Westlund of Enumclaw, Washington; seven grandchildren, Craig Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Eric Johnson, Cassee Bradshaw Bastle, Mitchl Buck, Ashley Devroy and Roman Buck; and three great-grandchildren, Cayden and Calli Johnson and Connor Grubusnik, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lorene Westland; sister-in-law, Jan Westlund; and a daughter-in-law, Micki Buck.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a small, family interment will be held at a later date.
