ROCK SPRINGS — Evanston and Davis middle schools combined to win the Southwest Middle Level Activities Conference Wrestling Championship at the Middle School District Wrestling Tournament on Saturday in Rock Springs.
Evanston finished with 116 points to bring home the gold. Star Valley was second with 104 points and Rock Springs was third with 94.5
Jaxin Moore, David Perez, Steven Dick and Payt Burton all-earned first-place finishes.
Evanston had 16 wrestlers finish in the top four, and five advanced to the state wrestling tournament on Sunday in Casper.
Moore and Caysen Dena both earned first-place finishes. Ethan White was second, Walker Wilson was third and Alix Aragon took fourth.
