EVANSTON — The Evanston Rodeo Series continues to celebrate 25 years of entertaining rodeo fans in Uinta County. There were several exciting events last Friday and Saturday to entertain even the most hardcore rodeo fans.
In the 40 and over tie down roping Ryan Yamauchi of Soda Springs, Idaho, won the event with a time of 10:18. David Haskell from Payson, Utah, was second with a time of 12:98.
In the junior steer riding, Mayz Madsen was first with a score of 72. Braunson Sims and Myles Carlson, both of Evanston, tied with scores of 69.
In the tie down roping, Colton Kofoed was the winner with a time of 9:14. Otis Grant of Bluffdale, Utah, was second with a time of 10:93 and Landon Cornia from Cokeville was third with a time of 11:35.
In the 18 and under tie down roping category, Zack Ekstrom from Pocatello, Idaho, won the event with a time of 14:03 and Wyatt Christensen was second with a time of 14:94.
Jhett Profitt from Fort Bridger won the event with score of 71.
Megan Burbidge from Elwood, Utah, won the ladies breakaway roping with a time of 3:35. Ashley Cornia from Cokeville was second with a time of 3:47 and Tamra Dahl from West Weber, Utah, was third with a time of 3:50.
Harley Beasley from Montpelier, Idaho, won the junior breakaway roping with a time of 4:58. Cason Barker from Fort Bridger was second with a time of 5:29 and Jesse Lindsey from Plain City, Utah, was third with a time of 6:12.
Brett Martin of Evanston with Ty Christensen from Plain City, Utah, won the #10 team roping with a time of 7:44. The team of Cory Hallam and Payson Hallam of Lyman were second with a time of 7:54. Boyd and Stetson Talbot from Ogden, Utah, were third with a time of 8:80.
Ryley Winters, from Benjamin, Utah, won the saddle bronc event with a score of 76. Rowdy Stone of Oakley, Utah was second with a score of 74, and Kelly Short from Franklin, Idaho, with a score of 68 was third.
Lucy Bowns had a good run in the ladies barrel racing and placed first with a time of 18:011. Katelyn Udy from Temonton, Utah, was second with a time of 18:198. Kacey Quarenberg from Grantsville, Utah, was third with a time of 18:201.
In the junior barrel racing, Kadence Martin of Evanston set the place with a time of 19:347, followed by Jacie House of Morgan, Utah, with a time of 19:809. Addison Bowers of Lyman was third with a time of 19:842.
Clinton Kap of West Haven, Utah and Dan Scarbrough of Plain City, Utah,teamed up to win the #13 team roping event with a time of 5:53. The team of Landon Cornia, Cokeville and Justin Hodson, West Haven, Utah, with a time of 6:31, tied up second place. Stetson Talbot, Ogden, Utah, and Justin Hodson took third place with a time of 6:50.
In the fan-favorite bullriding event, Dakota Adams, Tremonton, Utah, won the event with a score of 77. Donny Proffit, Kemmerer, was second with a score of 76.
