EVANSTON — For a quarter of a century the city of Evanston and all of Uinta County have enjoyed the annual Evanston Rodeo Series. It was a time of celebration, not only for the Evanston Rodeo Series, but also to reflect on what this nation means during the Fourth of July Independence Day celebrations.
The Rodeo Series honored those who have helped keep the series going for 25 years and gave a special thinks to Dennis Ottley, who was mayor when the series began and was instrumental in ensuring the rodeo would have a firm footing to start on.
There was a large crowd Saturday night to enjoy the festivities and watch cowboys and cowgirls compete in a truly American sport. The next rodeo wil be July 14-15.
