Evanston police incidents
Sept. 11-17 2017
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 135 incidents between the dates of Monday, Sept. 11, and Sunday, Sept. 17. Incidents included an abandoned vehicle, four alarms, eight ambulance or medical assists, 19 animal problems, a citizen complaint and six citizen assists.
Calls also included two possessions of a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, curfew or loitering, driving under suspension, a family fight, a fire, a family problem, harassment, two information reports and three intoxicated persons.
Officers also responded to four juvenile problems, three keep the peace incidents, lost or found property, a missing person, four noise problems, a parking problem, a prisoner transport, non-vandalism property damage, probation/parole violation, reckless endangering, three suspicious incidents, stalking, five suspicions, four traffic accidents with property damage, threatening, four property thefts, two trespassing incidents, four unsecure premises, unauthorized use of a vehicle, vandalism, a wanted person and five welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department arrested five persons between the dates of Sept. 11 and Sept. 17.
William L. Gross, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension and failing to appear.
Anthoney L. Heyrend, of Evanston, was arrested for public intoxication.
Seth Prime, of Green River, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance.
Joseph W. Russell, of Evanston, was arrested for criminal entry.
Andrew G. Wiggen, of Worland, was arrested for second or third offense driving while under the influence, possessing a controlled substance, and driving while under suspension.
