Evanston police incidents
Sept. 28 - Oct. 1, 2017
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by EPD. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 72 incidents between the dates of Thursday, Sept. 28, and Sunday, Oct. 1. Incidents included three agency assists, two citizen disputes, counterfeit funds, controlled substance possession, a dead body, a DUI, a fire, an intoxicated person, a juvenile runaway, resisting/interfering with police, a hit and run traffic accident, three traffic accidents with property damage, two property thefts, and three welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department arrested seven persons between the dates of Sept. 28 and Oct. 1.
Travis R. Dodge, of Lansing, Michigan, was arrested for public intoxication.
Joseph T. Fortenberry, of Evanston, was arrested for battery.
Jesse J. Fretter, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension.
Patrick E. Pegnato, of Christmas Meadows, Utah, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of .08 percent or greater.
Anthony W. Pipkins, of Evanston, was arrested for violating a protection order, driving while under suspension, interfering with a police officer, possessing a controlled substance, possessing paraphernalia, domestic abuse and sexual battery.
Garrett A. Smith, of Evanston, was arrested for property destruction, interfering with a police officer and resisting arrest.
Jessica Vanbree, of Evanston, was arrested for shoplifting, possessing paraphernalia and possessing a controlled substance.
