Evanston police incidents
Sept. 18-20, 2017
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 66 incidents between the dates of Monday, Sept. 18, and Wednesday, Sept. 20. Incidents included an abandoned vehicle, an alarm, an ambulance or medical assist, 10 animal problems, two breaking and entering incidents, two citizen disputes, three citizen assists, a civil problem, domestic, a DUI and a DWUS.
Officers also responded to two fires, a family problem, fraud, an information report, a juvenile problem, lost or found property, littering, a residence or vehicle lockout, loitering, a noise problem, a parking problem, a radar trailer, a suspicious incident, suspicion, four traffic accidents with property damage, a traffic hazard, property theft, trespassing, unsecure premises, two wanted persons, and two welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department arrested five persons between the dates of Sept. 18 and Sept. 20.
Elizabeth A. Battenfield, of Bakersfield, California, was arrested for interfering with police.
Patricia L. Cox, of Evanston, was arrested for misdemeanor probation revocation.
Gail D. Roberts, of Evanston, was arrested for misdemeanor probation revocation.
Jacob J. Swisher, of Evanston, was arrested for aggravated assault and battery.
Adren R. Warner, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence and failure to carry compulsory auto insurance.
