Evanston police incidents
July 6-9, 2017
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 101 incidents between the dates of Thursday, July 6, and Sunday, July 9. Incidents included an assault with a weapon, two simple assaults, three agency assists, counterfeit funds, intoxication, three DUIs, driving under suspension, a family fight, fireworks, harassment, five intoxicated persons, a minor in possession of alcohol, two incidents of suspicious activity, two hit and runs (one of which caused personal injury), a traffic complaint, trespassing, vagrancy, vandalism, two 911 child welfare checks and four welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department made nine arrests between the dates of July 6 and July 9.
Stanford Bahe, of Shiprock, New Mexico, was arrested twice for public intoxication.
Cody B. Bateman, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Eric A. Crandall, of Evanston, was arrested for a felony probation violation, for public intoxication and for two charges of possessing a controlled substance.
Austin K. Jarrell, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence.
Matthew G. Johnson, of North Ogden, Utah, was arrested for public intoxication.
Gerald E. Lewis, of Evanston, was arrested for purchasing or possessing alcohol under the age of 21.
Edward J. Lorenz, of Evanston, was arrested for battery.
Levi T. Trimble, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence.
