Evanston police incidents
July 20-23, 2017
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 89 incidents between the dates of Thursday, July 20, and Sunday, July 23. Incidents included five alarms, three ambulance or medical assists, 14 animal problems, an agency assist, a citizen dispute, seven citizen assists, a citizen contact, a citizen assist, five DUIs, driving under suspension, two family fights, a fire, a family problem, four intoxicated persons, an RV problem, property damage, three hit and runs, four traffic accidents with property damage, a traffic complaint, bicycle theft, two property thefts, a shoplifter, vandalism, a wanted person and a welfare check.
The Evanston Police Department arrested 10 persons between the dates of July 20 and July 23.
Austin Clift, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of 0.08 percent or greater.
Lori D. Henderson, of Evanston, was arrested for public intoxication.
Russell A. Hortin, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of 0.08 percent or greater.
Jason J. Kurtz, of Freedom, New Hampshire, was arrested for public intoxication.
Gerald E. Lewis, of Evanston, was arrested for wanton destruction of a game animal, for taking wildlife without a license, for wasting game, for violating a commercial order and for hunting under the influence.
Angela L. Lucus, of Syracuse, Utah, was arrested for public intoxication.
Nicholas A. Schneider, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of 0.08 percent or greater.
Jon J. Terry, of Spanish Fork, Utah, was arrested for public intoxication.
Cindy L. Thompson, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence.
Luis A. Vega, of Kearns, Utah, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of 0.08 percent or greater.
