Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.

The Evanston Police Department responded to 97 calls between the dates of Monday, Jan. 1, and Sunday, Jan. 7. Incidents included two assaults, six ambulance or medical assists, defrauding an innkeeper, eight animal problems, five agency assists, three citizen disputes, four citizen assists, a civil problem, a fireworks incident, two juvenile problems, an information report, five suspicious incidents, keeping the peace, lost or found property, a missing person, obstructing justice, two parking problems, a sex offender registration, an instance of threatening, vandalism, three traffic accidents with property damage, strangulation, vagrancy, two wanted persons and three welfare checks.

The Evanston Police Department arrested nine persons between the dates of Jan. 1 and Jan. 7.

Lara A. Demientieff, of Park City, Utah, was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

Bradley L. Jenkins, of Portland, Oregon, was arrested for interfering with a police officer, assault and battery, and damage to private or public property.

Joseph P. Sowers, of Evanston, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in district court and possessing paraphernalia. 

Gary R. Baker, of Gillette, was arrested for interfering with a police officer and property destruction.

Crystal L. Ball, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension. 

Cody D. Clift, of Evanston, was arrested for interfering with a 911 call and minor in possession of alcohol. 

Dakota J. Fry, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear, misdemeanor probation revocation and driving while under suspension.

Todd I. Gomez, of Evanston, was arrested for strangulation of a household member, child abuse and interfering with a 911 call. 

April A. Pena, of Saint Johns, Arizona, was arrested for defrauding an innkeeper.
