Evanston police incidents
Dec. 18-20, 2017
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 58 incidents between the dates of Monday, Dec. 18, and Wednesday, Dec. 20. Incidents included an assault, two ambulance or medical assists, 14 animal problems, two agency assists, three citizen disputes, a citizen assist, a civil problem, an escort, two harassments, an information report and keeping the peace.
Officers also responded to a noise problem, non-vandalism property damage, a protection order violation, two prisoner transports, a suspicious incident, suspicion, a hit and run, two traffic accidents with property damage, two traffic complaints, two wanted persons and a welfare check.
The Evanston Police Department arrested two persons between the dates of Dec. 18 and Dec. 20.
Samuel R. Collins, of Lyman, was arrested for property destruction.
Garrett B. Scherck, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear.
