Evanston police incidents
Aug. 7-9, 2017
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 77 incidents between the dates of Monday, Aug. 7, and Wednesday, Aug. 9. Incidents included two alarms, two ambulance or medical assists, 19 animal problems, two agency assists, two citizen disputes, two citizen assists, counterfeit funds, two DUIs, a fire caused by fireworks, harassment, an information report, three juvenile problems, two parking problems, two prisoner transports, two suspicious incidents, a telephone incident, two incidents of threatening, theft, unsecure premises, vandalism, a wanted person and three welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department arrested three persons between the dates of Aug. 7 and Aug. 9.
Michael L. Bartels, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of 0.08 percent or greater.
Danny W. Martin, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear.
Amy M. Vitale, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of 0.08 percent or greater.
