Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.

The Evanston Police Department responded to 171 incidents between the dates of Monday, Aug. 21, and Sunday, Aug. 27. Incidents included a personal injury accident, an abandoned vehicle, six ambulance or medical assists, 36 animal problems, a simple assault, two agency assists, five breaking and entering incidents, two citizen disputes, seven citizen assists, a citizen investigative contact, two civil problems, one counterfeit funds, two domestic incidents, a domestic violence incident, a drug interdiction, three DUIs, a DWUS, a family fight, a family problem, four harassments, two information reports and three intoxicated persons.

Officers also responded to six juvenile problems, four lost or found property incidents, a minor in possession, a missing person, four noise problems, three parking problems, a prisoner transport, a property destruction, a probation/parole violation, three prowlers, a radar trailer, one suspicious activity, three suspicious incidents, a stalking, four suspicions, six traffic accidents with property damage, a traffic accident with personal injury, two traffic complaints, a traffic control, two property thefts, five trespassing incidents, two vandalism incidents, three wanted persons, and six welfare checks.

The Evanston Police Department arrested 16 persons between the dates of Aug. 21 and Aug. 27.

Samantha A. Brumme, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear to district court.

James T. Carter, of Ogden, Utah, was arrested for petit larceny and public intoxication. 

Cindy J. Cook, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence.

Matthew E. Dingman, of Evanston, was arrested for felony probation revocation. 

Jesse J. Fretter, of Evanston, was arrested for attempted conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

Jason P. Hawkins, of Henderson, North Carolina, was arrested for interfering with police, trespassing, and public intoxication.

Daniel D. Johnston, of Evanston, was arrested for failing to appear. 

Taryn N. Martin, of Evanston, was arrested for trespassing.

Benjamin N. Massey, of Snellville, Georgia, was arrested for property destruction.

Johanne A. Maycock, of Evanston, was arrested for misdemeanor probation violation.

Hal E. Nicholls, of Evanston, was arrested for public intoxication.

Patrick D. Ruiz, of Evanston, was arrested for domestic battery.

Jose J. Sabedra-Delgado, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence.

Herbert E. Simmons, of Evanston, was arrested for failure to stop vehicle with personal injury or property destruction on crash, second or third offense driving under the influence, driving while under suspension, interference with police officer, failing to carry proof of insurance, and driving without interlocking device.

Jessica Vanbree, of Evanston, was arrested for attempted conspiracy, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, and child endangering. 

Todd B. Young, of Saratoga Springs, Utah, was arrested for driving while under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.
