Evanston police incidents

Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 71 incidents between the dates of Monday, Sept. 23, and Wednesday, Sept. 25. Incidents included two alarms, three ambulance or medical assists, 13 animal problems, two citizen disputes, a citizen assist, a civil problem, domestic violence, a DUI, indecent exposure and keeping the peace.
Officers also responded to two noise problems, a protection order violation, a prisoner transport, a school problem, shoplifting, three suspicious incidents, a hit and run, shoplifting, unsecure premises, three wanted persons and a welfare check.
The Evanston Police Department arrested four persons between the dates of Sept. 23 and Sept. 25.
Joshua J. Doan, of Evanston, was arrested for resisting arrest, possessing paraphernalia, being a fugitive from justice, felony probation revocation, theft, criminal trespassing and bond revocation.
Christopher M. Hernandez, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence.
Byron W. Pinegar, Jr., of Omaha, Nebraska, was arrested for domestic battery.
Julian V. Ramirez, of Evanston, was arrested for misdemeanor probation revocation.
