Evanston police incidents
July 1-7, 2019
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 165 incidents between the dates of Monday, July 1, and Sunday, July 7. Incidents included an abandoned vehicle, three alarms, nine ambulance or medical assists, 28 animal problems, simple assault, two agency assists, breach of peace, two citizen complaints, five citizen disputes, three citizen assists, custodial interference, five citizen investigative contacts, marijuana possession, controlled substance possession, disorderly conduct and four domestic violence incidents.
Incidents also included disturbing the peace, DUI, DWUS, a family problem, fraud, six fireworks incidents, two harassments, identity theft, two juvenile problems, lost or found property, two noise problems, three parking problems, a probation/parole violation, a protection order violation, two suspicious incidents, a hit and run, two traffic accidents with property damage, two traffic complaints, theft, two traffic offenses, shoplifting, two trespassing incidents, two unsecure premises, vagrancy, a wanted person and eight welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department arrested seven persons between the dates of July 1 and July 7.
Karlie T. Bradham, of Evanston, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear.
Ernest A. Ellingsworth, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence with a BAC of .08 percent or greater.
Nathan K. Mackie, of Evanston, was arrested for assault.
Nicole S. Ries, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension.
Neal L. Vreeland, of Evanston, was arrested for domestic assault.
Becky J. Watson, of Evanston, was arrested for breach of peace.
Timothy C. Werner, of Evanston, was arrested for misdemeanor probation violation.
