Evanston police incidents
Jan. 27 – Feb. 2, 2020
Editor’s note: Information contained in this report is compiled from a daily activity log and an arrest record maintained by the Evanston Police Department. VIN inspections are not included. Those arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law; charges listed.
The Evanston Police Department responded to 121 incidents between the dates of Monday, Jan. 27, and Sunday, Feb. 2. Incidents included an abandoned vehicle, four alarms, two assaults, three alarms, six ambulance or medical assists, 12 animal problems, an agency assist, a citizen complaint, three citizen disputes, two citizen assists, a civil problem, cocaine possession, domestic violence, a DUI, DWUS, an escort, harassment, two information reports, keeping the peace, lost or found property, three noise problems, three parking problems, non-vandalism property damage, a prisoner transport, two school problems, shoplifting, seven suspicious incidents, a sex offense, attempted suicide, two hit-and-run traffic accidents, eight traffic accidents with property damage, a traffic accident with personal injury, a traffic hazard, threatening, a tobacco problem, two property thefts, shoplifting, traffic control, vandalism, a wanted person, a warrant arrest and six welfare checks.
The Evanston Police Department arrested seven persons between the dates of Jan. 27 and Feb. 2.
Aaron Betts, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under suspension.
Kody W. Ellis, of Evanston, was arrested for damage to private or public property.
James R. English, of Evanston, was arrested for possessing stolen property.
Kristopher L. Jarrell, of Highlands, Texas, was arrested on a warrant for failing to pay.
Melinda F. Larsen, of Evanston, was arrested for possessing paraphernalia and shoplifting.
Justin G. Parks, of Evanston, was arrested for driving while under the influence and interfering with police.
Craig T. Pasenelli, of Evanston, was arrested for possessing a controlled substance and driving while under suspension.
