Officials for the Evanston Hall of Fame are looking for nominees for this year’s class. Dan Wheeler said nominees should be submitted by March 31.
The Hall began in 2000, inducting its inaugural class, but then was inactive for more than a decade. It was revived in 2013, and has continued each year since.
An induction ceremony will be held on the Saturday of Homecoming week, Wheeler said.
There’s no set number of inductees each year, but a good expectation is there will be two coaches, two athletes and a couple of supporters — whether it’s teachers, faculty or students. An individual team will also be inducted.
The Hall of Fame is on display in the upper level of the high school gym. Inductees will be represented with a plaque and their picture, along with details about their contributions to the community.
Nomination forms can be submitted online at www.reddevilathletics.com. Physical forms are available in the athletics department of the district office.
