Elaine Taylor Hatch

Elaine Taylor Hatch, of Randolph, Utah, passed away Tuesday, May 26, in Morgan, Utah. She was born Nov. 21, 1917, in Salt Lake City, the daughter of J. Warren and Alley Johnson Taylor. She was the oldest of 10 children.

Elaine enjoyed basketball, both high school and the Utah Jazz. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and the Ladies Card Club. She enjoyed racing horses in Arizona, cooking, sewing, embroidering and received many ribbons from the fair. She also enjoyed reading and puzzles.

Elaine is survived by her children, Gwenda Batty of Evanston; Douglas (JoAnna) Hatch of Randolph, Utah; Elva (LaVar) Putman of Evanston; Marie (Roger) Whitaker of Brigham City, Utah; 16 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 37 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (LaDell) Taylor of North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Orin Dale Hatch; a son, Vernon Dale Hatch; two grandchildren; seven brothers and one sister.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, at the Randolph Cemetery.
