Edna Ruth Johnson Wall passed away at her home in Robertson on Jan. 18.
Edna’s life began at the Johnson Ranch in Robertson on Feb 1, 1914, at which time her parents, Wallace and Alice Johnson, along with siblings — Orville, Keith, Lorna, Merle and later Larry — welcomed this beautiful baby girl into the world and their lives.
Almost 105 years old, Edna lived a long, wonderful, happy life. On Nov. 25, 1936, she married Eldon Wall at the Johnson Ranch. They later bought their own ranch in Robertson and raised three children: Wayne, Linda and Dan.
As the years went by, five beautiful grandchildren came along: Melony Wall, Leslie Whittaker, Eliot Whittaker, Monte Wall and Owen Wall. The blessings did not stop there, as along came six great-grandchildren, Curtis Whittaker, Jesse Wall, Callie Greenhaw, Demi Wall, Justin Wall and Alec Wall.
Edna’s many loves included working beside Eldon, reading, writing poetry and belonging to the Willow Creek Homemakers Club since 1939, and spending time with her family.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Alice Johnson; husband, Eldon Wall; daughter, Linda Whittaker; son, Wayne Wall; granddaughter, Melony Wall; brothers, Gail, Orville and Keith Johnson; sisters, Lois Johnson, Merle Elmer and Lorna Hobson; daughter-in-law, Patricia Goodman Wall; and a son-in-law, Arnold Whittaker.
Edna always attributed her longevity to being happy.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, at 1 p.m., in the Union Presbyterian Church in Mountain View. Viewing will be at the church from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
