EVANSTON — The Eagles Auxiliary recently gave a donation of $5,855 to the Uinta Senior Citizens Center to support senior center programs.
Community Outreach Coordinator Debbie Terech said the funds will go toward raw food, reusable meal trays and heated bags for hot meal delivery to senior citizens on the home delivery routes.
“We are very appreciative of the hard work, dedication and support this Eagles group has shown toward our senior citizens,” Terech said.
The Uinta Senior Citizens Center provides home health and hospice services for aging persons.
In addition to meal services, the center also provides adult day care, public transportation and home health aide services.
“We are grateful for our community partners,” Terech said, “[who] continue to show support and encouragement of our services and programs which enable our senior citizens to live a more independent life.”
