DeLyle “Skip” Walter Chappell


DeLyle “Skip” Walter Chappell, 46, of Evanston, passed away on April 13, in Montrose, Pennsylvania. He was born in Powell, on Nov. 2, 1974, to Davis Ray and Mildred (Lindsay) Chappell. Skip loved fishing, camping and anything outdoors.

He was knowledgeable about many things, loved to read and do crafts, and was known as an extremely hard worker. He cherished his children and made time to share their taste in music and his goofy personality. Skip was truly a people-person, and he loved animals.

Skip is survived by his loving wife, Tina; his children, Emilee, Harper, Calee and Alex; brother, Davis Chappell (Cathy); sisters, Rebecca Long (David), Denice Chappell, Teri Chappell and Racheal Chappell; as well as Ellie Rhinehart (Tim).

DeLyle is preceded in death by his parents, Davis R. and Mildred Lindsay Chappell; along with various aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services for Skip will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, with a viewing taking place two hours prior, at 11 a.m. Skip will be laid to rest in the Evanston Cemetery.
