Dawna Rae Page-Gundersen

Dawna Rae Gundersen, 80, of Evanston, passed away on Thursday, April 1, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Charleston, Utah, on Nov. 14, 1940, to Donald J. and Ruth (Wright) Todd.

She met and married her first husband, Ralph G. Page, on Nov. 26, 1961, and together they had six children. Ralph preceded her in death on July 20, 2000. Dawna later met and married Alton Cutler Gundersen on April 21, 2012, in Salt Lake City.

Dawna loved to talk, read and play cards with her family. In her younger days, she enjoyed quilting and puzzles. Every morning, Dawna would faithfully tune in for her favorite soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dawna loved and cherished the Salt Lake City Temple.

Dawna is survived by her loving husband, Alton Gundersen; her children, Roberta Himebaugh, Bart Page, Leo Page, Donald Page and Gary Sky; her brother, Thomas Todd; as well as 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald J. and Ruth (Wright) Todd; her first husband, Ralph G. Page; her son, Jerry Page; and Todd Page.

Funeral services for Dawna will take place at noon on Thursday April 8, at the Elm Street LDS Church in Evanston. There will be a viewing one hour prior, at 11 a.m. Dawna will be laid to rest in the Evanston City Cemetery following the services.
