Dannice Fox Peterson

Our beloved mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend Dannice Fox Peterson, 61,  passed away suddenly early Thursday, September 8, 2022 at her home in Bear River, Wyoming.
She was born on November 17, 1960 in Heber City, Utah; the first child of Julia Briggs and Stephen Fox.
Dannice was briefly married to Morgan Pierce and had a son, Austin. She married Jeffrey Peterson on November 6, 1982  and had 3 additional children. She and Jeff were just shy of celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary together.
Dannice touched many lives in her extensive career as a compassionate and strong caregiver, starting in early age as a Candy Striper and eventually earning her certification as a Nursing Assistant and Medical Office Assistant. She worked at the Wyoming State Hospital and many home health agencies and nursing homes in Evanston over her lifetime.
Dannice was a very hard worker, and never sat still for long. She raised 4 children while building a home and working full time, and also tended her small cattle ranch when husband Jeff was away working in the oil field.
She enjoyed traveling and experiencing adventures with gal friends and spending time with her family. She was particularly creative; always making and crafting things. She painted ceramics, crocheted, knitted, sewed, created decoupage masterpieces and absolutely loved to hunt thrift stores, antique shops and yard sales for antique furniture to refinish and collectables to decorate the house with. She had a green thumb, loved gardening and landscaping the acreage around the home she and her husband, Jeff, built together over 20 years. Canning and preserving food from her garden and fruit trees was another love of hers.
Dannice had deep faith and spirituality and was a strong woman because of it. She believed God put us through as much as we could handle and the people who struggle most were intentionally chosen by God to be the strongest ones. This belief was evident by her willingness to help her family and others unselfishly and her ability to shoulder more than her fair share of challenges. She had a backbone of steel and a heart of gold. She had an infectious, boisterous laugh when she really let loose, and a big gold mane of hair that her family always teased her about. She was the cornerstone of her entire family, the rock we all clung to, and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband Jeff, her four children; son Austin and wife Heather, daughter Kara and husband Garrett, twin sons Clint and Corey; mother Julia Briggs, father Stephen Fox, brother Russel Fox, sister Stephanie Fox, step-sister Tana Fox, step-brother Zane Kennedy; sisters in-law Cari (Nick) Larsen, Pam (Dave) Oka and Kristy (John) Foote and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by former husband Morgan Pierce, her parents in-law Sandra and Hal Peterson, her stepfather Lee Wayne Briggs,  stepmother Montreuil Fox and nephew Cole Muller.
Dannice’s family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the neighbors and friends who reached out to help during this difficult time. An announcement will be made for a memorial and celebration of her life at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to The Lord’s Storehouse Food Bank in Dannice’s name.
