Dalice Mae Barker passed away on Nov. 15, at Evanston Regional Hospital.

Dalice was born on July 14, 1931, in Fish Haven, Idaho, to Henry Wilford Shirley and Iva Langford Shirley.

She married Glendon A. Barker on Sept. 24, 1947, in Evanston. He preceded her in death on April 25, 1976.

Dalice was a kind and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who devoted her entire life to her family. She was the head banana-bread baker and Grammy Snack-Mix Maker. She just had the knack!

She is survived by her two sons, Dennis (Susan) Barker of Mountain View and Terry (Kay) Barker of Evanston.

Survivors include her favorite people in the world — her grandchildren — Glenn (Lisa) Barker, Dawna (Shaneon) Lance, Jason Barker and Kimberly (Dustin Frazier) Barker, Brian (Genny) Barker and Brenda (Ryan) Berger.

Also surviving are her other really most favorite people — her great-grandchildren — Alli, Hailey and Kyle Barker, Rylee and Garrett Berger, Colten and Cason Barker, Tustyn and Sheldon Lance, Ellie Barker.

Dalice is also survived by her brother, Evan Shirley of Montpelier, Idaho, several nieces and nephews and special friends Arla Dean and Bev Rufi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glendon Barker; parents, Henry and Iva Shirley; brother, Cecil Shirley; sister-in-law Geraldine (Pink) Shirley; sister, Norma Michaelson; brother-in-law, Harvey Michaelson; and one niece, Iva Lou.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Evanston Regional Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. Special thanks also to Charlene and Frank for keeping a watchful eye.

We want to especially thank the caring and committed staff at Rocky Mountain Care. Their constant care, concern and hard work were amazing and we will never forget that.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Evanston City Cemetery.
