Cynthia Marie Norris was born on Nov. 12, 1960, in Whittier, California. She passed away Aug. 15, in Salt Lake City. Cindy went to school in Torrington, and graduated from high school in 1979. In 1988, Cindy moved to Evanston and came to Mountain Regional Services in 1995.
Cindy enjoyed her life and the time spent with her friends, and she made many long-lasting friendships at Mountain Regional. She liked to greet and talk with staff to discuss her daily plans; she also liked making goals for herself and working hard to overcome the challenges in her life.
Family was very important to Cindy. She greatly valued the relationships she had with her family and talked about them often. Cindy liked writing letters and talking on the phone. She also liked reading her Bible, and was very proud of her Christian beliefs. She would pray for her friends and the well-being of others.
Cindy enjoyed coloring and working with puzzle books. She also loved looking through her magazine subscriptions and making Avon orders. She valued her independence, and was grateful for the many staff that were able to help her throughout her life.
Cindy faced her challenges in life with courage and strength. She liked to see the goodness in others and greet her friends with a smile. She was witty, friendly and outspoken with her opinions, and she will be dearly missed by those who knew her well.
