Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Lee Nicholls, 65, of Evanston, passed away peacefully on Jan. 26 with her family by her side in Salt Lake City.  Cindy was born Dec. 17, 1954, in Evanston, to Blaine Nicholls and LeEtta Meeks.

Cindy married Diego “Junior” Archuleta in 1978 and had three children. They divorced but remained great friends until the very end.

Cindy found love again and married the late Randall Cox in 1989 and had one daughter. Cindy received her associate’s degree in business and graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

A passionate hobbyist, Cindy enjoyed home improvement/renovating and was known for painting murals, creating unique yard décor, gardening and antiquing. As a devoted homemaker and provider, she loved bringing her family together for a home-cooked meal and maybe one of her famous scavenger hunts.

Feisty, bubbly and independent, she was widely known for being unfailingly selfless, witty, and hardworking.

She is survived by her four children, James Ryan, Utahna Marie, Amy LeEtte, Keaunna Camille; and five grandchildren, Remick, Malachi, Raimey, Aaliyah, and Maven; her four siblings, Hal, Susan, Todd and Shawna’e; along with numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved China.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at Crandall Funeral Home, followed by the graveside services and then a luncheon at the Elm Street LDS Church.
