Having a baby is a life-changing moment. Luckily, parents can access resources at the 4th Annual Community Baby Shower to help them be the best parents they can be. Pregnant moms, new moms, and families are invited to attend this fun event from 3-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, at the Evanston Roundhouse.
Setup as a “one-stop shop,” participants can learn important information and receive educational materials, as well as access resources and support offered in our community that relate to all things baby/young children and family. The event will feature more than 30 booths with a variety of topics, including:
• Infant photography
• Healthy Child Development
• Breastfeeding
• Car Seat Safety
• Insurance Coverage
• Reading to Children
• The Birthing Center at Evanston Regional Hospital
Door prizes — including for a car seat and other baby gear — will be drawn throughout the afternoon. Test your knowledge of animal baby names and nursery rhymes to win other prizes.
New this year, the baby shower will feature a “Mom 2 Mom” baby gear swap. Participants are encouraged to bring their gently used items (clothing, toys, books, furniture, bedding, etc.) to give away or swap.
