Clara Eileen Davis Blaser Booker of Evanston passed away on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Rocky Mountain Care, at the age of 84. She was born March 1, 1936, to Donald and Jesse Rose Davis in The Dalles, Oregon. After her mother’s passing, she was adopted by Walter and Cora Blaser of The Dalles, Oregon. While in college in 1958, she met the love of her life, Elon Dean Booker. On May 8, 1959, she and Elon were married in Nampa, Idaho. At the time of her passing they had been married 61 years.

Eileen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elon; and both her biological and adoptive parents.

She is survived by her two sons, Trent E. Booker and Bruce C. Booker; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Eileen spent countless hours working alongside her husband helping with various business investments, Boy Scout troop committee work and charity work with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association through its film ministry.

Eileen, with her husband, Elon, was an active outdoorswoman and hunter, having shot — on her own — antelope, deer, elk and moose. Eileen also enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, including various trips down the Grand Canyon, floating the Colorado River and many trips abroad. In addition to her outdoor activities, she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and working with children and young people.

Eileen will be missed by her friends and especially by her boys, whom she raised. She also spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors with them. A memorial/celebration service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, at Evanston Alliance Church.
