Carolyn Alice Brown, 78, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, in Lyman, surrounded by family.

She was born April 3, 1943, in Denver, to Clarence A. and Edna Schroeder Kluenner.

Carolyn worked for the Sweetwater County School District No. 2 for 20-plus years.

Carolyn loved donating her time to the Humane Society and helped every year to set up fundraisers, also donating her time at Broadway Bargains. She enjoyed going on trips and seeing new places. She also loved going to Denver to visit family. Carolyn loved going to lunch with friends and feeding her family.

Her dog was her best friend and partner in crime; they loved visiting the dog park and seeing all of their friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Kelly Brown and his wife, Tammy Brown; four grandchildren, Kole and Amanda Brown, Kip Smith and Brandon Smith; and many adopted family members, including Nathan and Jamie Collar, Finley Collar and Jeremiah Stover.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date — or, as mom always said, “on the one day of summer we have in Wyoming.”
