Candace “Candi” Jean Vincent, 65, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Jan. 11. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Aug. 7, at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton.

Candace Jean Little was born on May 16, 1955, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Dr. William J. and Marge (Mackey) Little. She graduated from Flathead High School in Kalispell, Montana, with the class of 1973. Following high school, she attended the University of Montana, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in secondary business education.

While in college, Candi met the love of her life, Jerold Vincent. Their journey together took them from Missoula, Montana; Riverton; Evanston; The Woodlands, Texas; and, finally, to Newman Lake, Washington.

Wherever she lived, Candi made many lifelong friends who will miss her quick wit and sense of humor. Candi loved working with children, especially those with special needs. Kids loved her and she truly loved them back, helping and teaching them. She never met a stranger, unless it was at her sons’ multiple wrestling tournaments where she wouldn’t be afraid to throw punches if need be.

She loved her family and friends so much. She always made sure others were doing well before worrying about herself and was always there to pick someone up or give a compliment when they were down. Everyone knew where she stood on a topic, and she was not afraid to share that with whoever cared to listen.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Marge; and her brother, Greg.

She is survived by her husband, Jerold; three sons: Joe (Justine) Vincent of Great Falls, Montana, Ryan (Brittney) Vincent of Cody, and Shawn (Erica) Vincent of Belgrade, Montana; six grandchildren, Brodie Vincent, Loch Vincent, Zachary Vincent, Emily Vincent, Dane Vincent and Grady Vincent; brother, Jeff (Paula) Little of Kalispell, Montana; and sister, Cheri Heinecke of Tacoma, Washington.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name to your favorite charity or the Galactosemia Foundation would be appreciated. Donations may be sent in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2202 W. Main St., Riverton, WY 82501.
