C. Richard Brown, 59, of Evanston, passed away June 29.

He was born Dec. 5, 1957, in Chicago (go Cubs!) to Gloria Gayle (Gay) and James E. Brown. He was raised in Tremonton, Utah, and graduated from Bear River High School in Garland, Utah.

He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Elaine (Brown), her husband, Steven J. Thurston and three grandchildren, Riah (11), Nixon (8) and Brielle (5) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and siblings C. David Brown, Jennifer Jensen, Christopher Brown and Kimberly Karl.

Richard will be missed in many ways, especially for his infectious laugh and his bright personality.

He is adored by his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. He enjoyed sharing his love of the outdoors with those he cared most about; he was an accomplished fly fisherman and a proud member of the Yellowstone Wolf Project Observation Team.

Richard’s family will celebrate his life where he most loved to be, in Yellowstone National Park. We will keep an eye on the pack for you, big guy.
