EVANSTON — The Evanston High School football team is coming off a 27-24 win against Green River, the second-ranked team in Class 3A.
Now the Red Devils (2-3, 2-2 3A West) will have a bye week before traveling to Worland (2-3, 2-2 3A West) on Oct. 13.
Evanston closes out the regular season on Oct. 20 at home against Jackson (0-5, 0-3 3A West).
Tyus Cornia leads the Red Devils’ offense with 630 yards rushing on 118 carries with eight touchdowns.
Seth Lloyd is 31 of 70 through the air for 388 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions. Jess Richins is 10 of 21 for 134 yards.
Brenden Mathson and Hunter Groll have a combined 16 catches for 248 yards.
Hunter Groll is averaging 4.8 tackles per game to lead Evanston’s defense. Nick Kunz (4.7), Rylie Griggs (4.6) and Brenden Mathson (4.5) are all close behind.
