The Mountain View and Lyman high school football teams will square off at 7 p.m. today for a Class 2A West Conference matchup in Mountain View.
The Buffalos (4-1, 3-0 2A West) are ranked second in the state and are coming off a 40-0 win against Pinedale.
Lyman (3-2, 2-1) cracked the state rankings this week at No. 5 after rolling to a 32-6 win against the Star Valley JV team last Friday.
The Buffalos have been on a roll since suffering an 18-0 loss to Cokeville in Week 1. Mountain View claimed a 22-21 win against Big Piney in Week 2 and has outscored its opponents 111-6 in its last three games.
Jason Stoddard leads Class 2A in receiving with 28 catches for 361 yards. He is also the leading tackler in the state with 12.0 per game.
Briggin Bluemel has run for 367 yards on 81 carries with six touchdowns.
Braeden Walk is 35 of 56 for 561 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. He also has 73 yards rushing on 40 attempts to go along with four scores on the ground.
Kimball Madsen has gone 26 of 41 through the air for 255 yards with two touchdowns and four interceptions. He has run for 159 yards on 42 carries and a score.
Lyman is looking to snap a five-game skid against Mountain View.
The Eagles suffered a 47-6 loss to Pinedale in Week 1 and a 35-6 loss to Cokeville in Week 2.
Beaudee Bluemel has 466 yards rushing on 111 carries. He also leads Lyman with 6.2 tackles per game.
Quarterback Hagen Lamoreaux is 10 of 18 on the year for 466 yards and three interceptions. The sophomore has also run for 65 yards on 40 carries and two touchdowns.
