Bryan Wynfeld Byrd, 45, of Pocatello, Idaho, returned home to his Heavenly Father on March 14, after battling  a serious illness for several months.

Bryan was born in Twin Falls, Idaho; and raised in Pocatello, Idaho, as well as in Lyman. He graduated from Lyman High School in 1994, where he participated in the band, drama and vocational agriculture.

He studied at the Southwest School of Radio Broadcasting in Springfield, Missouri, and he served as a proud member of the United States Navy. He had a wonderful sense of humor and the kindest heart. He gave everything he had to those he cared about.

Bryan is survived by his parents, Myrl Byrd of Buhl, Idaho; and Carol (Leslie) Laughter of Pingree, Idaho; his sisters, Hollie (Brandon) Ebert of West Valley City, Utah; and Kristine Davis of Pocatello, Idaho.

A military funeral service will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Friday, June 24, at the Veterans Cemetery in Blackfoot, Idaho. A second memorial celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, at the home of Carol and Leslie Laughter, 1507 W. 560 South, Pingree, Idaho. All are welcome to attend.

The family has asked that in lieu of sending  flowers, please make a donation to the Make a Wish Foundation in Bryan’s name.
