Brian Richard Hopkins

Posted

Brian Richard Hopkins, age 42, of Evanston, tragically took his life on Dec. 9. He was born in Layton, Utah, to Douglas L. Hopkins and Yvonne Hammer (Fritz).

Brian was a master welder and loved his trade. He loved the strategy of chess and played for hours. Brian’s motto was “a bad day fishing is better than any good day at work.”

He is survived by his father, Douglas; mother, Yvonne (Dean Fritz); brothers, Morgan and Aaron; sister, Michelle; and children, Gwyndolynn, Braxton, Wyatte, Ryllie and Heath.

He was very loved by his parents, children, friends and extended family.

If you or anyone you know is suffering from alcohol or drug addiction or poor mental health, please get help. This was a tragic loss that never should have happened.

Rest now, my son, and be at peace. Your family will forever remember you with love.

After cremation, a celebration of life will be planned for a future date.
