The Evanston High Red Devils traveled to Worland to compete in the Pinnacle Challengers Cup tournament. The teams have had a tough season so far but the boys’ team enjoyed their first win of the season.

On Friday they defeated 3A Powell High School 3-0 and then went on to defeat Buffalo 3-0.

On Saturday the boys faced Green River in a non-conference game and lost a close one 2-1.

On Saturday afternoon, the Red Devils faced Worland in a tough game and won 1-0. The winning score was thanks to a shootout to break the 0-0 tie. Defeating Worland gave the Red Devils third place honors at the tournament.

The Lady Red Devils had a tougher weekend. On Thursday they lost to Rock Springs 2-0. That was followed on Friday by another loss to Riverton, 3-0.

On Saturday the Lady Red Devils squared off with Pinedale. It was a tough and heartbreaking game that Evanston lost 1-0.

Things did turn around for the Lady Red Devils Saturday afternoon when they played Torrington and won the game in a dominating fashion, 6-0.
